With family roots in Florida agriculture and a lifelong connection to the Glades farming communities, Alexa Mickler brings a personal connection to our industry as she joins the Florida Crystals Legal team as Counsel.

After spending time as a Legal intern and part-time employee, Alexa has transitioned into a full-time role as Counsel. She was officially sworn in as a member of the Florida Bar in September by Judge Samantha S. Feuer, with fellow members of our Legal department there to mark the occasion.

“I’m excited to join the Florida Crystals Legal team in a full-time role,” said Alexa. “From the beginning, the Legal team stood out to me as an incredible group of attorneys and paralegals. Everyone is hardworking, knowledgeable and passionate about their work.”

Alexa earned her Doctor of Law from Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law in May and her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida.

“We are thrilled to welcome Alexa to the Legal team in a full-time capacity,” said Evelyn Hopkins, Senior Corporate Counsel. “She proved herself to be a valuable contributor to our department during her internship and part-time job. Her knowledge of our company and department has prepared her to make an impact on our team immediately.”

Growing up in Clewiston, Florida, as the daughter of a farmer, Alexa has been familiar with the agricultural industry her entire life.

“Growing up as the daughter of a farmer, I got to see many of the challenges that they face,” Alexa said. “That experience shaped my interest in a career where I could advocate for and support farmers and agriculture, especially in my home state of Florida.”
