Tellus® Products Featured in Palm Beach County Schools for Earth Day
Our Tellus® five-compartment trays were introduced in the Palm Beach County School District on April 22 as part of the national Earth Day campaign: Plastic Free Lunch Day. The District is one of the largest in Florida, serving nearly 200,000 students across more than 180 public schools.
“Our five-compartment tray feature in Palm Beach County School District for Earth Day is a proud milestone for Tellus,” said Steven Ajello, National Accounts Manager, Foodservice Sales. “These contain no added PFAS, are Kosher Certified, are made using domestic and imported plant fibers and are BPI certified.”
The product feature was not only exciting because the Palm Beach County School District is one of the top 10 largest in the nation, but also because the schools are in the same county where our production facility is located.
The district encompasses 109 elementary schools, 34 middle schools, 23 high schools and 14 alternative or community schools. Serving nearly 200,000 students, the district employs 23,000 staff members, including 13,000 teachers.
We take pride in supporting the Palm Beach County School District’s efforts to promote the use of less plastic.
